While reading a book requires light, which isn’t helpful when trying to fall asleep, reading has sometimes helped me fall asleep so let’s give it a try - otherwise you can just play on Insomnia Sweeps and try to win the Target Gift Card Prize (lol). How many times have you had that thought? Perhaps you used to read a lot and have stopped recently. Perhaps you used to read a lot and stopped a long time ago. Now might be the time to pick up a book again.
You used to love to read and now you can enjoy a good book while hopefully assisting you to beat this insomnia that has taken over your life. Maybe you already have a book that you have been meaning to read for a while. Or perhaps you need to go to the bookstore tomorrow and pick one up. Does anyone take out books from the library anymore you wonder? Do you prefer reading a book on an electronic device or do you prefer holding and turning the pages of an actual book. Some people like hard-cover books while others prefer paperbacks. Which did you prefer when you used to read?
What is the best type of book to help put me to sleep? Fiction books require using my imagination so maybe that will help tire out my brain. I enjoy non-fiction books and learning about actual people and events. I don’t enjoy thrillers and only sometimes enjoy self-help books.
